Pregnancy Support Group - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Picture
The Pregnancy Support Group in Bury St Edmunds is FREE to access, and POSITIVE about birth.  The group is for all, regardless of their background, experience or choices - to come together and share experiences, thoughts, feelings and insight about birth, babies and parenthood.  Our group aims to be a helpful part of your pregnancy; a warm and welcoming place to hear stories and ideas, to consider what you really want from your childbirth experience, and to challenge any fears or negative expectations you might have.

Every woman deserves a Positive Birth. A positive birth does not have to be ‘natural’ or ‘drug free’ – it simply has to be informed from a place of positivity as opposed to fear.

Our group respects a woman’s human right to choose where and how she has her baby. You can birth with positivity in hospital or at home, with or without medical intervention. You can have a positive caesarean, or a positive home water birth. Positive Birth is about approaching birth realistically, having genuine choice, and feeling empowered by your experience.

The
Bury St Edmunds Pregnancy Support Group is run by Debbie Willis, an antenatal teacher who is passionate about birth as a positive experience. We are a friendly informal group in the local community, supporting all women to have the birth of their choice.  We meet up on a regular basis in Bury St Edmunds, come and meet local mums to be, midwives, doulas and other birth workers; those who wish birth to be a positive experience.
